I was born in Zimbabwe and lived in South Africa for several years before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. I have been in the travel industry for over 30 years. It was only after taking friends and family on safari that I realized how different a private safari could be from the packages that I had been selling. I decided to show others how they too can experience the warmth and hospitality of my home – Africa – and so Mushinda, my African Adventure company, was born.
What makes my trips so memorable is my passion for the region and the manner in which I plan every detail of my clients’ itineraries. I specialize in custom-designed safari vacations to Southern Africa and to the East African regions. Taking great pride in getting to know my clients and their specific interests and desires, I develop a unique vacation experience, matching properties, guides and itineraries to my clients’ personalities.
In addition to the many trips I have planned for my clientele, I have organized vacations for several celebrities, including nationally renowned musicians, TV personalities and movie producers.
I also organized a destination wedding (including a safari honeymoon) for a prominent Atlanta couple who were married in Cape Town. The wedding ceremony itself was held at the exclusive and elegant Ellerman House overlooking the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. Together with my team in Southern Africa we planned the entire wedding, including all travel arrangements.
